Every year during this time, the Shiva devotees also known as Kawadias fetch Water from the holy river Ganga from places like Haridwar, Gaumukh and Gangotri to be offered at their local Shiva temples.

Rotaract Club of Young Visionaries is organising  an event that includes visiting the resting camps of Kawadias and offering and serving them with food and refreshments.
