AVGAT DAY-2

On 29th August,2017, Rotaract Club of Young Visionaries organized the second part of their event

AVGAT-To Aid The AIDS

This time, we collaborated with the ever popular Asmita Theatre Group to perform for us and help us create awareness on this issue.

Amidst the hustle bustle of the Baba Ram Rahim controversy, the club had to double its efforts in finalizing the venue,(also keeping the imposition of Section 144 into consideration) and after much deliberation,at the last moment, the planned venue "Kashmiri Gate Metro Station" had to be given up and once again Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station came to the rescue. The performance took place around 3 pm again.

But the good part is that nevertheless, a new set of audience was enlightened this time. The combination of Asmita Group's enthusiasm and innovation worked really well and AVGAT ended up being a huge success. The idea of informing people about a disease the way we chose to do it, is what deserves limelight here. Not doing it the mainstream way this time, and conducting not just one but two street plays instead, is what we did and it proved to be really fruitful.
How well did Albert Einstein say, "Creativity is intelligence having fun".

Finally, refreshments were served to all the members of both Asmita Group and our club and the day as well as the event ended in good spirits.
