WINS

The Rotaract Club of Young Visionaries kick-started it's first on the ground event of this session with WINS: Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Education (WASH) in Schools. WINS aimed at propagating the importance of a simple, but life-saving healthy habit of hand washing. The event took place at MCD school, Wazirpur, New- II at 4 p.m. today. 160 students from class 3rd, 4th, and 5th took part in a workshop. A simple yet fun workshop was facilitated by Rtr. Deepashree Sonik and Rtr. Saumya Mittal. Rtr. Rishabh Jain also headed the event. The students were taught about the importance of hand washing using soap by a visual activity where loose glitter was used to depict germs. Rtr. Pankaj Arora and Rtr. Tushar Mehta also performed a skit that aided Saumya and Deepashree's facilitation. Later, a small question and answer session was held to judge if the students have grasped the knowledge. The responses we received were enthusiastic. The Q&A was followed by soap and toffee distribution. To end the season rotaractors and the students danced to peppy Bollywood song.
